Marie, you have really hit a nerve with me. I love great packaging. Have you seen Metro flavored water? http://www.metromint.com/products/varieties.html I like the sleek thin bottles and satin metallic finish.
Another packaging favorite in the water category is the innovative Fiji bottle of which the reverse-printed back is the “background,” the front of the bottle had some foreground art, and floating inside the water itself were exotic fish printed on transparent plastic. This bottle is no longer available (it’s now just a standard label) so I no longer purchase Fiji water.
When I purchased my Mac G3 Powerbook–the first of its kind, with the sleek Titanium body–I didn’t even care if there was a computer inside. The product design was just that beautiful.

Chaz thank you for the link! Metromint is another great example of product design. I too find myself buying products bc the packaging is beautiful.
